About us

Innovatiecluster Drachten consists of 23 high-tech innovative companies.

We do not compete with each other, but work together. This is how we develop and make high-quality and unique products. We do this by sharing knowledge. That is why we welcome new insights and enjoy working with technological talented people. We share knowledge through, for example, honours programmes for students and High Tech Safaris. We also offer special career and development programmes for talented people, and we provide mentoring for high-tech start-ups. The companies share high-tech equipment, including industrial metal and plastic 3D printers and cobots in our Shared Facility Center. This is where our workplaces for R&D projects, development and testing facilities for 3D printing are located. Soon we will also add auditoriums for school and student programmes.

Een digitale MBO Ontdekkingsreis!

Voor MBO studenten die studeren in de richting van ICT aan één van de ROC’s in het noorden werd een virtuele bijeenkomst georganiseerd met als doel de studenten te inspireren en informatie te geven over de mogelijkheden voor doorstuderen of het vinden van de juiste stageplek of baan. Tijdens dit digitale event werd een blik gegeven in de IT-wereld. MBO’ers die reeds werkzaam zijn in de IT vertelden over hun ervaringen en succesvolle ondernemers gaven een blik in hun wereld en werkzaamhedenInnovatiecluster Drachten gaf een goed beeld van de Innovatieve high-tech bedrijven in het noorden.

De helpende hand van een robot in de horeca of als koffie assistent

De eerste samenwerking met Hogeschool Windesheim is een feit. Twee studententeams hebben zich gebogen over het vraagstuk of een robot(arm) dienst kan doen in de horeca of op kantoor.
