Hytrans is an innovative and successful production organisation that develops and produces high-quality mobile water transport systems. Hytrans is the international market leader and supplies 'state of the art' mobile water transport systems worldwide that are used, among other things, in disaster relief and rescue operations. Approximately 80 motivated employees work in Lemmer to sell, develop, assemble and provide support for the products.

The function:

As Project Manager you play a leading role in bringing the project activities for our international customers to a successful conclusion. In this, every project is different. The sales value of the projects varies between 0.5M€ to 10M€ and the lead time from a few months to sometimes several years.

As Project Manager, you manage the organization to execute the project activities according to plan and within budget. You have a keen eye for risks and are creative in finding solutions in case of setbacks. You have a lot of interaction with the sales, engineering, purchasing, work preparation, production and after-sales departments. In your role, you continuously switch between technology and commerce to make the project a commercial success. You report to the Supply Chain Manager.

The main tasks in this position:

• You are responsible for timely delivery of the project with the right quality and costs.
• For complex projects you are involved in the final phase of the quotation process and you guarantee the feasibility of the project. You ensure that customer-specific requirements are properly arranged.
• You lead the project team meeting and monitor the progress of the project activities. You ensure that problems and bottlenecks are resolved in a proper manner and pursue open action points.
• Depending on the project, you communicate directly with the end customer or indirectly via the Sales department. In case of changes in the project scope, you ensure an appropriate response together with the Sales department.
• You are responsible for the final delivery of the project to the customer (in Lemmer or on location) and ensure that any remaining points are completed quickly and effectively.
• You report periodically to the MT on the project progress, costs and risks of the project. If agreed with the client, you also provide an external progress report.
• You participate in project meetings with department managers, where bottlenecks in planning and available department capacities are discussed.

What do we ask of you?

• A business and/or technical background with at least 3 years of project management experience in an international business.
• You are a leader, a strong communicator, proactive and assertive
• HBO/WO work and thinking level, you can analyze well and easily separate the main issues from the secondary issues.
• You have knowledge of project management methods and a good command of English. German is a plus.
