Who are we:

Hytrans is an innovative and successful production organisation that develops and produces high-quality mobile water transport systems. Hytrans is the international market leader and supplies 'state of the art' mobile water transport systems worldwide that are used, among other things, in disaster relief and rescue operations. Approximately 80 motivated employees work in Lemmer to sell, develop, assemble and provide support for the products.

Job description

As Manager Supply Chain you report directly to the CEO and are a member of the MT. You are ultimately responsible for the design and performance of the Supply Chain activities within Hytrans.

You provide inspiring leadership to 13 employees of the subdepartments Projects/Work preparation, Purchasing and Warehouse. Together you ensure that customer projects can be competitively quoted and executed by the correct availability of product stock, semi-finished products and components. In doing so, you have a keen eye for the planning and integral cost price of projects, supplier performance, improving work processes and a good working atmosphere in the department.

In collaboration with the other MT members, you ensure optimal cooperation within Hytrans, resulting in an effective, customer-oriented organization.

What do we ask of you:

You can be characterized as a driven manager with a passion for people and organizations. You are a real team player and connector who gets energy from realizing improvements and developing the business, department and employees. You have:

  • Minimum HBO work and thinking level and a relevant business or technical education.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in a project business in the manufacturing industry.
  • A flexible, customer-oriented attitude and experience in a developing organization
  • Experience in translating corporate strategy into Supply Chain initiatives and improvement processes, e.g. in the areas of delivery reliability, cost reduction and inventory management.
  • Good knowledge of logistics methods and processes such as LEAN, KANBAN, QRM and TCO.
  • A clear track record of implemented Supply Chain improvements.
  • Good command of English. German is a strong asset.
