Are you an experienced project buyer with a technical background and a passion for optimizing the supply chain? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a proven track record in project purchasing within a technical (production) environment? Then we are looking for you!

What are you going to do?

As a Project Buyer you represent the purchasing department within R&D projects and industrialization projects and you play a crucial role in sourcing and negotiating supplier contracts. And you ensure the transition from purchasing for development projects to the operational purchasing organization. In this position you will work closely with both the Development and Engineering departments

And besides

• You are responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies in line with project objectives and company policies
• You are responsible for the purchase of technical materials and services. You will alternately deal with operational, tactical and strategic purchasing activities
• Request quotes, conduct negotiations, place purchase orders, contract and evaluate the performance delivered by our suppliers. This is done in good cooperation with the operational and tactical buyer
• You translate the internal customer's demand to the supplier market and ensure a good connection
• You negotiate with suppliers and ensure that agreements are correctly recorded in purchase orders or contracts
• Recognize opportunities for improvement and use them for the further development of the purchasing organization

You bring this

• HBO working and thinking level, preferably a technical education and preferably supplemented with a NEVI 1 education
• Gained work experience as a Project Purchaser in a technical (production) environment
• Chain thinker who can involve suppliers within their own supply chain and knowledge and experience in drawing up and managing purchasing agreements and demonstrable affinity with the legal aspects of contracting
• You are a good negotiator, a structural thinker, you have strong communication skills and good analytical skills
• Good command of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written, German is an advantage
• Good knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Ridder iQ)
