As a Lead Software Engineer you are responsible for leading a team of software developers and managing the technical aspects of software projects for our hydrogen filling stations. You play a crucial role in the design, development and maintenance of high-quality software solutions. You are also involved in drawing up technical strategies and implementing best practices within the development team.

Your work as a Lead Software Engineer

• Leading and motivating a team of software developers specialized in PLC programming for hydrogen filling stations.
• Designing, developing and implementing PLC software solutions for control, monitoring and security of hydrogen fueling infrastructure.
• Identifying technical requirements and preparing detailed technical specifications for PLC systems.
• Review PLC code and technical documentation to ensure quality and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Actively participate in the design and architecture process to build robust and safe PLC systems that meet the specific requirements of hydrogen filling stations.
• Researching and evaluating new technologies and methodologies for PLC programming to improve system efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with other teams, such as mechanical and electrical engineering, to develop integrated solutions for hydrogen filling stations.
• Act as a technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and provide technical guidance and support regarding PLC systems.

You bring this

• A completed HBO education in e.g. Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics
• You have extensive work experience as a PLC Software Engineer, Control System Engineer, Automation Engineer or similar
• Demonstrable experience in software development, preferably with a focus on PLC programming and industrial automation
• In-depth knowledge of PLC programming languages and platforms, such as Siemens PLCs
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and guide a team to success
• Knowledge of safety standards and guidelines for industrial automation, with specific attention to hydrogen safety, is an asset
