Revolutionary packing machine from Neopost
News | 11 Jun 2014
Postal automation company Neopost in Drachten has developed a revolutionary packing machine for web shops. The company expects significant growth.
A prototype has been running successfully for over half a year now at Docdata, the company that takes care of the shipments for internet shop Bol.com. “The parcel market is really on the rise”, says purchasing director Piet Fellinger of Neopost. The growing stream of internet orders is still packed by hand.
The Neopost automatic box folder works ten times faster and saves at least 40 percent in transport space, says marketing manager Bas van Steenoven. The factory grew with envelope filling machines, but is looking for new markets because of the decrease in letter traffic.
