ICD visits job fair in Germany
News | 24 Oct 2022
On Wednesday 19 October, the Hochschule Emden-Leer organised a physical job fair on their premises in Emden, close to the famous Volkswagen plant. Not only is the Volkswagen ID4 produced in this port city in northern Germany, many talented people are also trained in disciplines that are of interest to ICD companies. And the nearest ICD company is just 25 km away from Leer. It gave us plenty of reasons to visit this German University of Applied Sciences.
The fair was well organised and attracted many interested students. International students, in particular from India, also showed great interest in the working practices of ICD, and what it offers in terms of internships and jobs.
These students have often gained 3-5 years of work experience in India before studying here. Overall, we spoke to 60-70 students who expressed serious interest in a future job with a high-tech company.
During our visit, we also met a number of professors and invited them, along with their students, to participate in one of our High Tech Safaris at ICD companies.
Given the positive response, we expect to host a number of students in spring 2023.
