Formula E is the sustainable, electric variant of Formula 1. This innovative way of racing delivers great performances. With an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and maximum speeds of 250 km/h slowly rising to 280 km/h, this sport is a serious alternative to racing on fuel. In any case, the question is how long classic Formula 1 will remain "socially acceptable"? Renewable propulsion is the future and Mercedes and Vestas have long embraced that. Vestas, the renowned windmill builder, is the main sponsor of the Mercedes/de Vries team. By organizing such races, we stimulate innovation initiatives in this high-tech domain. We also aim to make these new technologies available for everyday systems.

Renewable propulsion of high-tech systems is one of the five high-tech icons of the ICD. With Nyck's profit, we feel extra empowered to continue our innovations in this area!
