XPAR Vision specialises in developing and implementing high-tech sensor and robotic technology for the packaging glass industry.

XPAR Vision is an innovation leader in this sector and supports the industry in making glass products (bottles, jars, drinking glasses) stronger and lighter. At the same, we improve production speed and efficiency, reduce the carbon footprint and decrease the dependence on human handling in the production process.

Based in Groningen (and founded in 1999 as a spin-off from the University of Groningen), XPAR Vision develops, installs, implements, supports and maintains sensor and robotic systems in the hot end of the packaging glass industry. Meanwhile, XPAR Vision is regarded as the specialist and market leader in optimising the glass forming process and has installed and implemented more than 600 systems in over 35 countries worldwide.

XPAR Vision believes that development and innovation are its core business: around 50 percent of operating costs are related to development. Currently, the development department employs 15 experts with BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in disciplines such as engineering physics, chemistry, artificial intelligence and computer science. These people work in multidisciplinary teams to improve current systems, support customers and develop new systems.
